Which means they don’t know that the plight of the Captain Marvel Movie Higher Further Faster Graphic shirt and mutants, in general, was in response to the Civil Rights Movement. I got into an argument on Twitter over this the other day. The writers explicitly wrote it as commentary/metaphor for civil rights struggles at the time. It is not at all a veiled commentary on civil rights struggles various minority groups face. Hell, I’m not even a girl anymore but I’ve never reacted to a movie like this either. In the third act’s climax, which was honestly like any other origin movie, I legitimately teared up. And I am not even emotional watching films.

She wouldn’t stop talking about it and was so excited that I went over to Walmart and bought one of the dolls. She hasn’t put it down Captain Marvel Movie Higher Further Faster Graphic shirt we got home. As I type this she is napping in a chair with her arms wrapped around it. It may not be the best Marvel movie ever but I mean the world to my daughter and I’ll take that over Winter Soldier any day. It’s why Spider-Man is such a huge character. It hits all of us white nerdy guys on a deeply personal level. If you’re a nerd who loves Spider-Man and somehow still thinks representation doesn’t matter, there’s something wrong with you.

That’s a good way of putting it. I try to explain it to people like, don’t you ever get excited when a Captain Marvel Movie Higher Further Faster Graphic shirt has some traits that you have, that aren’t super common in media characters? Hell, a big appeal of Spider-Man is that he’s this normal, nerdy guy that readers/viewers can easily relate to. I’m pretty sure Spider-Man being a nerdy white guy is why I, nerdy white guy, fell in love with the character. It’s not that I can’t enjoy someone like Captain America, but Spidey is the closest thing to me you’ll get in a comic book, and he holds a special place in my heart. Yep. I saw it by myself but just happened to be sitting next to a family with 2 little girls. They were so into it. I’m happy that when I eventually have kids of my own.
