Like a true Pop Stan, I dedicated my last assignment Como la flor con tanto amor me diste tu se marchito Selena Quintanilla 1971-1995 shirt, an op-ed article, in a journalism course this semester writing about my fave: Selena. I wrote about her impact and vast influence on the music industry. I submitted it and spent the rest of the night watching YouTube videos and reminiscing about this superstar and then I went to sleep and woke up to news about the Netflix series and a legal dispute between Selena’s widowed husband Chris Perez and her family over this series. Her husband doesn’t have the legal right to profit off of Selena’s name, but he’s getting around that by using his real-life experience with her to craft the series.

I’m personally of the philosophy of let the dead live in peace, and they haven’t let her. Everyone knows she’s impacted Mexican Americans as an icon of a new, unique and mixed culture that nowadays we take for granted Como la flor con tanto amor me diste tu se marchito Selena Quintanilla 1971-1995 shirt. But her family just doesn’t respect her, and Chris Perez has always respected and loved her, before and after death. No way, I just read your write up on her, it is totally awesome! Paulina Rubio. I don’t speak Spanish, but I will very badly belt Selena at any opportunity. I’m so sad that she never really got the full chance she deserved as a future* legend. I’m not saying pop would look totally different, but a pop world with Selena still in it would look incredible.

I was born in ‘91 in Phoenix, so she was always an icon where I’m from – but I’m not so sure if people in Iowa or Michigan were as aware of her as an artist and as a public/cultural figure Como la flor con tanto amor me diste tu se marchito Selena Quintanilla 1971-1995 shirt. The movie is no doubt a classic and will be hard to top. However, our Queen of Tejano deserves for her whole story to be seen and heard. And with the family involved we know this is gonna be great. Viviras Selena! The Quintanilla family helped produce this series, just like the movie. I hope they go more in detail about her whole life because the movie skips so much. And I hope we see scenes from her husbands’ book. So many to count them all. Really heartbreaking story. I know I will cry.
