Adding here that many prescribers E-scribe using a computer program with lots of drop downs and options to select. I get us out of trouble shirt work at a pharmacy and cannot tell you just how often I see the doctor select the wrong strength/directions/drug. In your case, it probably just looked like the doctor was increasing your dose when in reality it could very well be that they selected the wrong strength when “writing” the prescription.

Definitely ask to see the hard copy at the Pharmacy before perusing anything else! I get us out of trouble shirt always happy to show it to a patient if they have questions. Also, as others have said, ALWAYS read what’s in the bottle, even if you have a lot of meds, and just compare to a med list. Mistakes can happen, work with your health care providers to prevent them. I think schedule iv is exempt from this. Even schedule II drugs can be sent electronically in some places now, but there are several layers of security.

Not true. All controls can be sent electronically if the proper authentication systems are in place (not all docs have them.) I get us out of trouble shirt might have a weird stricter law, but the DEA and federal law allow describing. Schedule 2 controlled substances may only be described or written; 3-5 may be called in, faxed, described, or written. The bottle says the pill was light green. I didn’t pay too much attention to the color because the color is always different depending on which brand the pharmacy I’m at uses (generic or name brand). But even then is it my responsibility to make sure the pharmacy filled my prescription as my doctor asked?
