I always loved series 8 and never understood all the hate. I’m an auntie shark who happens to cuss a lot doo doo doo shirt are really similar to yours. I just prefer Flatline over Mummy and think that Kill the Moon is good, mainly for the final scene with Doctor and Clara. MOTOR is definitely an all-time classic, though I have a feeling that it’s already been forgotten by a lot of people.

I used to like Flatline more (still love it), but I’m an auntie shark who happens to cuss a lot doo doo doo shirt has overtaken it easily. And yeah, besides a couple of duds (normal for every series of DW), Series 8 is incredible. See, I wasn’t even annoyed by the kids. I went in expecting to be, and the fact that the kids weren’t as bad as I thought it would be was part of why I received it so well. And when they were annoying, it was because the episode wanted to make the point that these were annoying kids, but there’s more to them than that, and that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be saved. I agree I love series 8. It just narrowly misses out on second place in my favorite series ranking. I especially don’t understand all the hate for Kill the Moon.

and would rank Flatline as another all-time classic. I’m an auntie shark who happens to cuss a lot doo doo doo shirt is incredibly dark, but is done so well, and is also greatly underrated. I must admit I was on the side of the Clara-hate for a while. I never disliked Capaldi as the Doctor but disliked Clara and Danny. However, I am glad that my feelings have changed after re-watching season 8. Series 8 was my introduction to Doctor Who and is one of my favorites! The only ones I didn’t like were Kill the Moon and In the Forest of the Night. That is really interesting to hear that season 8 was your introduction. I feel that Deep Breath would be confusing for a new audience member as it includes the Paternoster Gang and does not really explain who they are. I think it’s a shame because I love a Deep Breath and feel it’s one of the most out-there introduction episodes of NuWho.

Series 8 is Moffat’s best series by a mile IMO and I’m an auntie shark who happens to cuss a lot doo doo doo shirt never agreed with many of the criticisms towards it. The only two episodes I disliked were Sherwood and Forest. And even then Forest looked amazing and was ambitious despite being poor. I used to dislike it until I rewatched it. Are you reappraising all of Capaldi’s series? Because this review is really good and has a lot of insight. And I’m curious to hear what you think of series 9 and 10 as well.
