And I have to mention  A quilter’s brain of people shirt completely we had to build a new walkway and step for people to come in the FRONT door next to the shop. This was completed in June. Before then, people had to come in the back door into the janky mud room from 100 years ago with wood piles and junk, and then go thru the kitchen. They didn’t mind, but I did. SO happy to have that part done. Now we need a sign at the end of the driveway still.

Now we are in July and sales are pretty much  A quilter’s brain of people shirt trickled down to hardly any. June sales were like January. This is expected. August will not be much better, but September / October should explode again.  I live in the land of quilt shops. Seriously, there are 6 within two miles of my house. The sales are ALWAYS in June and July. I bet your sales trends are similar across the industry. Row by Row is a HUGE boost but we skipped it this year. Way too overwhelmed to participate and the in person shop wasn;t quite ready. Next year tho – oh boy.

I love the A quilter’s brain of people shirt sales (Shop Hop here!) It’s so much fun! Wow, what an adventure! It sounds exhausting and exhilarating, all at the same time! I’ll look forward to the next post that says your autumn made up for the slow summer, in spades! Exhausting yet exhilarating yes. Half the time I’m too busy to be anxious. Right now I’m enjoying the break. Tho, after literally no one in the shop all week, I’ve had two customers stop in and am meeting a third for an in-town delivery of fabric.
