It looks like a game that will be The landscape’s inside the heart shirt perfectly fine while you play but, as soon as you finish, you’ll forget all about it until it gets mentioned in passing a few years later. Most of the current gen launch titles were forgettable. I’ve never seen anyone mention Killzone: Shadowfall and Knack have become a joke because of its trailer. Frankly, after Horizon, it becomes obvious that Shadowfall was more about money and marketing than about making a good game.

Shadowfall is just completely worthless The landscape’s inside the heart shirt. It has some ideas, like the open-ended levels, but executes them scarcely (I think out of 11 levels only 2 are actually open-ended), the balancing is all off and frankly the amount of content (guns, enemy variety) is god awful. Shadowfall’s base gameplay is alright, the shooting plays fine and the OWL powers sound like a good setup, but it really does feel like they weren’t 100% into it from the beginning, and just gave up on it when Sony demanded it is a launch title. You play Horizon by comparison and Guerilla basically gave it their 100%

I know some people like Second Son The landscape’s inside the heart shirt, but I get the exact same impression from it, even if it wasn’t an early launch title. Game’s world is incredibly shallow and empty compared to inFamous 2, the enemy variety is horrid, the story feels underwritten and is way shorter than the last 2 games, and the only redeeming quality is the base gameplay itself.
